MY FATE To Release New Single Next Week

February 4, 2009

Finnish aggressive melodic metal five-piece MY FATE is currently recording its third full-length album, "Room for Regret", for a May 6 release through My Fate Music, the band's own label. Distribution in Finland will be handled by Supersounds Music. The group is currently looking for ways to get the album released in other countries as well. A digital single, "Snap", will be made available on Friday, February 13.

Commented guitarist/songwriter Jaakko Järvensivu: "That song 'Snap' is rather on the aggressive side of the new album but it's also very catchy, definitely different from anything we've done before. 'Room for Regret' will be our most diverse album up to date, containing the slowest and heaviest MY FATE songs ever, yet also the fastest. It's going to be a challenging and a very intense record."

A studio diary is available on the band's web site.

Formed in 2000, MY FATE has released three four-song EPs and two full-length albums.

The band's lineup is as follows:

Jukka Ruostila - Vocals
Jaakko Järvensivu - Guitar
Mikko Lehtinen - Guitar
Roope Lehtinen - Bass
Vilho Rajala - Drums
